There are 2 million Americans who are 90 years of age or older today! The Roaring 90's Club is an organized social and educational club for those 90 years and older, to afford our Golden Agers opportunities to meet and fellowship with their peers. The South Bay chapter boasts over 150 members, and those 85+ are invited to join as "Trainees." 100+ year-old members are awarded as "Graduates." Educational speakers and events aid in the health and well-being of older adults.
The SILVER TSUNAMI arrives: Baby Boomers are now aging into senior housing in staggering numbers. 10,000 Americans will turn 80 every day starting in 2025. By 2030, all 73 million boomers will be of retirement age! This presents a great challenge in the development of new communities to fit their special needs.
The 90's Club was founded by Lynn Brennan for this growing population of Super Seniors, to reward them with the honor and respect they deserve. The Roaring 90's Club has celebrated 18 years of fun and fellowship. The Roaring 90's Club achieved 501(c)(3) non-profit status, and has been honored at Torrance Kiwanis Celebration of Community events. These awards are further evidence of our elevated status in the Club's honor and recognition of our Golden Agers. The 90's Club is completely funded by community support.
When COVID hit, the 90's Club had to abruptly stop meeting, and this has lasted. So now we recommend that you out there--everyone become the Roaring 90's Club--reach out to our Golden Agers who are all around us. Help a friend or neighbor--run an errand, give a lift, mow a lawn.
